We are looking for aHead of Engineering and Investment Procurementwho is strategic, innovative and collaborative to join ourProcurementdepartment, based in our offices inBrussels, Belgium.
About the role
You will be responsible for a spend portfolio covering the following procurement categories: engineering services, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing), civil works, industrial equipment, facility management services, real estate, and maintenance. You will also be accountable for the management of end-to-end sourcing and contracting processes for some large program.
Who you’ll work with
You will report into the Chief Procurement Officer and also lead and develop a team of procurement category leads and managers to facilitate delivery of the strategic vision, with direct management responsibilities. You will also partner with leaders from UCB and senior executives in Patient Supply, Finance, Legal and Sustainability Corporate Affairs & Risk
What you’ll do
* Build solid relationships with UCB Business Partners across the value chain to fully understand their strategies, challenges, needs and requirements.
* Nurture and strengthen the relationships with key strategic suppliers and external partners to build a competitive advantage for UCB.
* Provide a holistic procurement approach for UCB Global Engineering and Facility Management.
* Develop sound commercial strategies which are well articulated and aligned across the organization.
* Align and provide strategic guidance to Category leads and managers in the development and execution of category strategies and strategic sourcing.
* Ensure continuous supply risk identification and management
* Allocate spend intentionally and purposefully by developing and orchestrating an ecosystem of external partners and suppliers that share our ambition and values.
* Provide UCB Business Partners with market trends and dynamics around the supply markets, enabling the development of sound procurement strategies.

* Masters Degree in related field.
* English language proficiency.
* Experience working in a global procurement role.
* Experience with transformation and change management.
