The Sales Director will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve company sales goals and revenue objectives. This role involves strategic planning, development, and implementation of sales strategies, and ensuring the growth and expansion of the company's customer base.
As the Sales Director, you will work closely with senior management to align sales objectives with business strategy and drive the company towards achieving its financial goals. This role demands a seasoned sales professional with strategic vision, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of market dynamics.
Major Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve organizational sales targets and business goals.
Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their professional growth and high performance.
Performance Management: Set individual and team sales targets, monitor performance, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, identify opportunities for growth, and develop strategies to capitalize on market potential.
Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Sales Operations: Oversee the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and optimizing existing customer relationships. Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring timely and accurate forecasting and reporting of sales performance.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing department to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns and promotions.
Compliance:Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards. Promote a culture of integrity and accountability within the sales team.
Education
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
Skills & Knowledge
* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a service based direct sales model.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
* Working experience in an international Security industry is preferable.
* Ideally, having worked in a multinational, experience in a matrixed environment
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
* Proficiency in sales software and CRM systems
* Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights
* Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics
