We are looking for a skilled professional with expertise in Business Development and Project Management to lead our expansion in Belgium, both from a site scouting perspective (identification, negotiation, acquisition) as well as a deployment perspective (feasibility, permitting, design, construction, commissioning) for our ultra-fast charging stations. This role implies a holistic coordination and supervision of all related projects, from commercial phase to commissioning, hence managing and working closely with both external and internal stakeholders. 🚀
🌱 Your Responsibilities
Business Development Manager
* Identify and assess strategic sites for the construction of ultra-fast EV charging stations, ensuring alignment with Zunder's expansion goals.
* Negotiate agreements with landowners, municipalities, and other relevant entities.
* Management of public tenders for the deployment of ultra-fast charging stations on the Belgian road network.
* Build strong relationships with local stakeholders, including public administrations and private entities.
* Discover future sites where ZUNDER will deploy the stations.
* Identify business opportunities by actively prospecting.
* Identify asset owners to negotiate.
* Contact store managers, hotels, restaurants, companies, etc., qualify them, and negotiate to install a charging station at their location.
* Build and work hand in hand with a network of prospecting partners that will allow you to increase the volume of opportunities.
* Work on optimizing the offer and sales materials.
* Manage negotiations and commercial follow-up until the contract is signed.
* Manage your commercial activity independently.
Project Manager
* Lead the company’s projects to ensure they open on time, within budget, and with the agreed scope.
* Support/manage the external and internal engineering team to meet the objectives of opening electric vehicle charging stations.
* Establish procedures to optimize processes and achieve goals.
* Coordinate and manage all stakeholders involved in project deployment, among others: feasibility, permitting, design, procurement, contractors, engineering partners, distribution system operator, local, regional and national public bodies
* Ensure project control through daily involvement and coordination with the various stakeholders.
* Review budgets, perform comparisons, and make awards in coordination with the purchasing, project management, and operations departments, as well as direct supervisors.
* Monitor financial and timeline progress of ongoing projects.
* Ensure the legal approval and commissioning of facilities once they are built, reducing lead times.
* Provide periodic progress reports to project and operations management.
🚀 Your Profile
* University degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional qualifications in Project Management or Business Development are a plus.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, land acquisition, or project management roles.
* Knowledge of e-mobility, electric sector, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors is an advantage.
* Autonomy, ownership, and ability to work in a dynamic new-market entry environment, with capacity to perform a technical-commercial role managing multiple business units with an end-to end perspective.
* Experience in contract negotiation and agreements.
* Understanding of permitting processes, licenses, and regulations for infrastructure projects.
* Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
* Strong technical analysis skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
* Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach.
* Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
* Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages is a strong advantage.
