As BID Manager you are responsible for the overall management of our bid proposals and quotations, also being involved in the operational procurement, related to those bids for both the regions Flanders and Brussels. All proposals and quotations are related to public (local, regional or federal) authorities, so practical knowledge of and experience with public tender procedures and bids is important. You work closely with other internal departments and ensure that processes run smoothly and purposefully, combining strategic vision with hands-on leadership.
Focus areas:
* Coaching and developing your bid team, which consists of 6 co-workers, so they can perform at their best
* Managing and coordinating the bid team and ensuring that all deadlines and quality standards are met
* Defining and implementing clear processes in collaboration with other departments to ensure efficient operations will be a key objective during your assignment
* Improve overall planning of the selected bids in order to ensure a balanced order book across the two regions is another important objective during your assignment
* Ensure regular and clear reporting on the pipeline to the divisional management
* Acting as a sparring partner for complex administrative cases, including providing relevant input on procurement related issues
* Translating strategic business goals for the two divisions into concrete actions within your department.
Functie-eisen
* Master's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a technical or commercial field
* Experience in procurement, cost calculation, internal sales within the facility management or the construction sector is an asset
* Experience on the supplier side with the participation and preparation of public tenders and their legal and administrative requirements is required
* Experienced in people management and coaching
* Hands-on and practical mindset
* Strong organizer, prioritizing and maintaining an overview
* Independent thinker and capable of taking initiative and making your own decisions whenever necessary to ensure continuity in the ongoing tender processes
* Fluency in Dutch is required, professional level of French is a plus.
