Operations Director
* Has a strong background in manufacturing management - with a focus on optimizing production efficiency, maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring safety compliance.
* Oversees all aspects of plant operations - including production, scheduling & production administration, maintenance, supply chain and personnel management in collaboration with the other management members.
* Drives continuous improvement initiatives and fosters a culture of operational excellence.
Operations Management
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
* Overseeing daily operations of the facility, ensuring production targets are met.
* Implementing best practices to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste while maintaining quality standards.
* Monitoring plant performance metrics and using data to drive decision-making.
* Act as primary contact for team needs - with deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
Team and People-Oriented Leadership
* Inspiring leadership: managing and coaching a multidisciplinary team including supervisors, production managers and administrative staff and guiding them to excellence in a demanding production environment.
* Managing and evaluating team performance: giving clear feedback and, where necessary, adjusting or correcting to achieve optimal results.
* Organizing team meetings: leading team meetings to discuss progress, setting goals and resolving operational bottlenecks.
* Talent development: developing and implementing strategic training programs focused on both technical and operational skills - fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Manning and cost efficiency: ensuring optimal staffing and manageable personnel costs.

Financial and Resource Management
* Managing the plant's operating budget, ensuring cost controls and meeting financial performance goals.
* Collaborating with corporate leadership on capital projects, including equipment upgrades and expansion initiatives.
Quality Assurance
* Ensuring strict adherence to product quality standards and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborating with the quality control team to address any production issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Working closely with clients to meet specific packaging requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
Strategic Planning
* Participating in the development and execution of long-term strategic plans for the site, aligning with corporate objectives.
* Analyzing market trends, customer demands and operational data to forecast production needs and optimize capacity planning.
Education and Work Experience
* Bachelor or Master degree in engineering, manufacturing, electromechanical, polymers or a related field.
* Min. 10 years of experience in plant/operations management - with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a packaging or related manufacturing industry.
* Proven track record of successfully managing manufacturing operations and driving process improvements.
* Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
* Excellent leadership and teambuilding skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.
* Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and cost control.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and execute long-term business goals.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High level of integrity and commitment to safety and quality.
