As a Product Owner at House of HR, you are responsible for the strategic and functional development of a white-label app. This app supports the entire candidate journey, from onboarding and contract signing to payroll administration and communication.
You work closely with local Product Owners, PowerHouse stakeholders (such as marketing teams and CEOs), and the central development team. Your role ensures that all PowerHouses collaborate effectively and align their goals, allowing Square to evolve as an innovative and proactive digital assistant. By integrating AI and data solutions, you contribute to House of HR’s ambition to remain Europe’s most progressive HR service provider.
1. Strategic Product Development
* Define and safeguard Square’s product vision.
* Collaborate with stakeholders (CEOs, marketing, local POs) to establish the roadmap and feature priorities.
* Align requirements from different PowerHouses and translate them into deliverables for the central development team.
* Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog in Azure DevOps.
* Translate functional requirements into clear PBIs (Product Backlog Items).
* Document and track functional specifications in Confluence.
* Work alongside UX/UI designers and developers to ensure an optimal user experience.
2. Stakeholder Management
* Act as the central link between the PowerHouses, the central development team, and other internal departments.
* Gather and translate specific needs from local POs.
* Communicate priorities and releases to all relevant stakeholders.
3. Sprint Planning & Development
* Coordinate with the Technical Lead and Delivery Manager on planning and execution.
* Organize refinement and scrum sessions to communicate functional requirements to the development team.
* Ensure release quality and minimize functional bugs.
4. Support & Optimization
* Analyze and prioritize bugs and change requests.
* Drive continuous improvement by analyzing usage data and feedback.
* Apply best practices in data analysis and AI integration within the app.
Profile
Experience & Background
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Economics, or equivalent experience.
* At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner in a digital environment.
* Experience as a Product Owner for an app is a strong advantage.
* Strong knowledge of agile/scrum methodology and backlog management (Azure DevOps).
* Understanding of technical concepts such as APIs, validation, and integrations.
* Basic knowledge of UI/UX and Figma to assess and evaluate design proposals.
* Experience with HR technology or recruitment applications is a plus.
* Familiarity with Google Analytics and data analysis is an advantage.
* Experience in a scale-up or fast-growing environment is a nice bonus.
* Strong analytical skills – able to translate complex needs into clear functional requirements.
* Excellent stakeholder management – easily navigate between different stakeholders.
* Persuasiveness – capable of inspiring and bringing people along with your vision.
* Hands-on mentality – able to identify opportunities and turn them into action.
* Time management – adept at switching between multiple projects and priorities.
* Diplomatic and pragmatic, with a strong sense of responsibility.
Language Skills
* Excellent command of Dutch and English (French is a plus).
