For one of our clients at Randstad Digital, we are looking for an experienced Python Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing in-house software solutions. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to refine user requirements and functional specifications. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring junior developers and ensuring code quality through reviews and best practices.
Responsibilities
* Consult with stakeholders and document user requirements and functional specifications.
* Translate requirements into software architecture (with support from a senior developer or architect).
* Develop scalable, high-performance, and reliable software solutions.
* Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
* Mentor and coach junior developers.
* Conduct code reviews and uphold best practices and coding standards.
* Identify and resolve technical challenges.
* Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 5 years of work experience as a Python Developer.
* Proven experience in developing Python applications.
* In-depth knowledge of threading, multi-processing, and asynchronous programming.
* Strong understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming.
* Experience with various Python web frameworks (such as FastAPI, Flask, etc.).
* Experience with test automation (Pytest).
* Knowledge of Apache Airflow.
* Experience with message bus technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ), caching systems (Redis), and databases (Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, S3, etc.).
* Experience with DevOps (Jenkins, OpenShift), Docker containers, and version control (Git, GitLab).
* Basic understanding of network architectures and their impact on software design.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Fluent in Dutch and English.
* Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience in a highly regulated industry (such as pharmaceutical or financial sectors) is a plus.
