As the Inside Sales Engineer you will be responsible for all 'light touch' accounts throughout the Belgium & Luxembourg region. Light touch means working in a quick paced environment with small sized orders which will get you up to speed in no time.
Light touch also means learning on the job with the support of your colleagues and developing yourself. You will collaborate with many different customers who occasionally place an order or have a technical question about their pump or seal. Job summary
As Inside Sales Engineer you’ll spend most of your time focused on orders that are accompanied by one or more technical questions. The customer calls or emails you for appropriate advice on new pumps, spare parts or sometimes even modifications. It is up to you to understand what the customer wants and what he (actually) needs. Besides providing our customers quickly and thoroughly with the best technical and commercial advice.
Your role
1. You will translate customer requests into technical advice this includes doing required calculations and technical selections
2. You will monitor the automatically generated orders and maintain positive customer relationships despite lower contact frequency
3. Actively seek collaboration with Outside Sales Engineers as soon as a customer reaches a tipping point to generate more sales
4. You will occasional visits your customers or accompany a colleague
5. Following up and reporting on all ongoing opportunities through the CRM system – Salesforce
6. You have commercial mindset and love to work on growth and proactively approach (old and/or potential) customers
7. Support Outside Sales Engineers with activities or projects in collaboration with our Commercial Operation teams, QRC’s and Business Units.
Your Profile
Good advice sells itself, that's your motto! You do not (only) look at KPIs but you really want to help your customer. You can understand or unravel the customer's needs by phone or email. Asking the right questions to find out what the needs are, comes easy to you. You have the natural ability to translate information into sound advice. If you do not have the required knowledge for this position, we will teach you along the way. You also meet the following requirements:
8. You have demonstrable experience with consultative sales
9. You have working experience in a technical environment
10. You speak Dutch and English - knowledge of the French language is a big plus
11. You can read and interpret technical (2D or 3D) drawings
12. You can adapt your communication style to different regions in Belgium & Luxembourg.
