**Freelance Contract**
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks to design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for various industries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and simulations to ensure optimal performance, manufacturability, and structural integrity of designs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products using SolidWorks.
* Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and manufacturing blueprints with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
* Perform structural, thermal, and motion analysis using SolidWorks Simulation to validate designs.
* Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and material selection.
* Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless product development.
* Work with sheet metal, plastics, machined parts, and welded assemblies, depending on project requirements.
* Conduct prototyping and testing, working closely with suppliers and fabrication teams.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and engineering best practices.
* Maintain accurate technical documentation, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and revision control.
* Troubleshoot design-related issues and propose improvements.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience in SolidWorks for 3D modeling, drafting, and simulation.
* Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
* Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is a plus.
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (ASME, ISO, ANSI, etc.).
* Ability to work independently as a freelancer or within a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and technical documentation abilities.
* Willingness to participate in design reviews, prototyping, and testing.
