JOB DESCRIPION:
The following tasks will be performed by the external service provider:
* Analyse business processes, search for improvements, and propose changes. Bring in innovation.
* Participate in business process modelling, in cooperation with other business analysts and architects.
* Document business requirements, draft functional requirements and business cases, and prepare mock-ups.
* Interact with business managers, user representatives, architects, other business analysts, and developers.
* Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings, and meetings with the users, including high-level (interinstitutional) meetings.
* Provide assistance in drafting business cases, project charters, and security plans.
* Prepare, coordinate, and run User Acceptance Tests.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above-listed tasks:
* Very good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model, interaction diagrams, etc.).
* Good knowledge of information systems matters.
* Good knowledge of large organization administrative business processes.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong capacity in preparing and writing business analysis and structured technical documents.
* Capability to speak to business and technical audiences.
* Strong capacity to give high-level presentations.
* Excellent critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
* Ability to apply high-quality standards.
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
* Knowledge of the Commission’s IT environment would be an asset.
SPECIFIC EXPERTISE
Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:
* Good knowledge of BPMN or UML or other with equivalent value.
* Good knowledge of Wiki and collaborative sites.
* Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe).
* Knowledge of tools used to sketch user interface ideas like Balsamiq.
Service delivery :The services shall be performed remotely in near-site location allowing to reach the Commission premises in Brussels within 2 hours.
