Job Description
Client Dedicated - Shipping Logistics Coordinator - Rixensart

This position will be based within our client site in Rixensart and will receive all shipment requests for specialty R&D materials from start to finish, allowing for materials to be shipped reliably, safely, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. This position will be navigating customs requirements, coordinating the logistical setup of shipments with courier vendors, and reviewing documentation to prevent delays to shipment.
Responsibilities:
* Perform shipment planning, booking shipments with carriers, generate required shipment documentation.
* Coordinate schedules and perform related system transactions.
* Issue POs, shipment and order tracking, and package collections.
* Work as part of a global team to resolve import roadblocks and act as a subject matter expert in local shipping regulations and standard processes for importing and exporting goods into the country.
* Manage Third Party Oversight/performance, Communication, Strategy, Payment (specialty carriers).
* Request HTS codes, assign Incoterms, assess if Dangerous Goods is needed, escalate need for import permits.
* Track shipments, take requests from scientists & send to appropriate courier, collect packages & deliver to appropriate teams.
* Work directly with vendors to schedule shipments, identify & escalate problems.
* Manage imports to the site & liaise with other country teammates for knowledge sharing & assistance.
* Build out documentation, best practices, and ways of working for streamlined efficiencies.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar Logistics/Shipping role within a Pharmaceutical company.
* Experience in using data analytics tools.
* Bachelor's Degree preferred; however, High School Diploma is also considered based on work experience.
* Global/International Experience with good understanding of required regulations.
* Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
* Strong customer service skills that can be applied with internal and external clients.
* Fluency in English and French with strong communication skills.
