Job Title: Information Systems Architect
We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Architect to support a European Institution in Brussels. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure IT architectures while ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Architecture & System Design: Design and develop component architecture, system integration, and data models.
* Technical Coordination: Act as a technical interface between project leaders and developers.
* Review & Optimization: Evaluate existing architectures and propose improvements.
* Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security standards, including OWASP Top Ten best practices.
* Project Involvement: Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings, and reporting.
* Documentation & Support: Produce software architecture documents and provide guidance to development teams.
* Technology Research: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and assess their impact on IT systems.
Requirements:
Education: University degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in similar roles involving system architecture, enterprise solutions, or IT infrastructure.
Language Skills: C1 level of English (spoken and written).
Technical Expertise:
* Strong knowledge of microservices, enterprise architecture, and business process analysis.
* Experience with interoperability technologies (web services, middleware, event architecture).
* Proficiency in relational databases (Oracle SQL, PL/SQL Developer).
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, PM² Agile).
Preferred Tools & Technologies:
* Application Servers: Oracle WebLogic, Apache HTTPd + PHP.
* Development Environments: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, JetBrains PhpStorm, VS Code.
* Project Management Tools: JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow.
Certifications (At Least One Required):
* TOGAF, Open CA, ArchiMate, ITIL 4 Master, Oracle 2019 Certified Master, BPMN 2.0, OCEB.
Work Setup:
This role is based in Belgium, with a hybrid arrangement requiring 3 days onsite. Remote work from other countries is not permitted.
