Role Overview:
As a Senior Business Development Manager – Contract Logistics, you will be responsible for driving business growth through identifying, developing, and securing new contract logistics opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a robust business development strategy to expand contract logistics services in targeted markets.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry events.
3. Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries, including retail, e-commerce, FMCG, Chemicals, automotive, and healthcare.
4. Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation and solution development to contract negotiation and deal closure.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to design customized logistics solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and operational capabilities.
6. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and commercial offers to prospective clients.
7. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine business development strategies.
8. Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic account management and customer retention initiatives.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
Key Requirements:
1. Minimum 7-10 years of experience in business development or sales within the contract logistics sector.
2. Strong track record of securing and managing large-scale logistics contracts.
3. Deep understanding of contract logistics, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain solutions.
4. Dutch native speaking with fluent English (French being a plus).
5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
6. Ability to develop and maintain high-level client relationships and strategic partnerships.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
8. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multinational environment with cross-functional collaboration.
