Description:
Operational Permanent Control is responsible for identifying and assessing operational risks, and for executing controls. Its scope of mission englobes Retail, Affluent & Private Banking, Corporate Banking, Functions, CSC.
OPC is leading a broad Transformation Program that tackles several aeras of the department activities and organization.
Among those, Track “Tooling evolution” aims at setting up a performing and sustainable technological eco-system for OPC. Therefore, the Track defines, documents and implements new solutions like Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and the use of robotics, as it aims at upgrading the tool for executing controls, already in place.
All of the above is negotiated and developed in collaboration with other Constructs (Data department, Tribe TCC, Tribe CSE), with the LOD2 Control Functions (Risk & Compliance) and with the Group (“ORM Solutions”).
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst who will work in close cooperation with the Track Lead (internal) to support OPC in:
-upgrading the current data set up of OPC (data sourcing methods, data modelling & analysis methods and tools, collaboration with other constructs;
-developing Data Analytics methods that respond to current and future needs of OPC control and risk teams, in cooperation with Data department;
-deliver qualitative data sets and data analytics outputs;
-contribute to the TO BE vision of data management at OPC.
The mission is 2-fold:
At the one hand, the candidate will contribute to the strategic vision of the future OPC data analysis and management. As such, the candidate will:
- address diversified business problems requiring data (such as descriptive business data to support risk analysis, or the set up a key risk indicators) and contribute to setting up an operating model and target vision;
-Support OPC teams in defining the requirements for these data (data translation);
-Get to know the different data providers of the Bank, in particular the Data department, and be an active part of the implementation model(s) set up with those contributors ;
At the other hand, the candidate will also perform data analysis tasks such as:
-data exploration and extraction, set up of data sets;
-ensure Data crunching and treatment for BI purposes;
- work with diverse data analytical methodologies, including statistical/machine learning, forecasting;
-data visualisation.
Required qualifications:
- You have a Master’s degree in a data analysis, data science or a business degree with a proven experience in data analytics/ Candidates with other academic backgrounds with substantial knowledge of analytics are also encouraged to apply).
- Certification SQL, Python
- Fluent in English + fluent in French or dutch
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in data analytics
Required:
- Programming language SQL.
- Programming language Python.
- Knwoledge of interaction with Oracle DBs.
- Proven experience in predictive modeling (machine learning) for forecasting purposes;
- Development Tools & Libraries: Conda, GitLab, Jupyter, PyCharm (BNPPF uses a dedicated Py workspace called Domino)
- Data visualization (to be discussed during interview: mandatory at BNPPF is Tableau, Power BI is a possibility.)
- Proven Data management background
- Proven management consulting experience (the role is not limited to producing data, but includes creating a network and contributing actively to a strategy)
- Knowledge of digital culture and ability to work within the digital ecosystem
Preferable:
· Knwoledge of AB Initio is a plus.
· Familiarity with SAS universe is a plus.
