Job Description:
Are you passionate about quality control and ensuring product excellence from start to finish? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to join our team and oversee the entire quality process at our cement plant. Your Mission:
As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of the final product by applying stringent quality measures at each stage of production, from raw materials to packing. You will manage the laboratory and its equipment to ensure high-efficiency operations and lead research to develop new products in alignment with company and group standards. Moreover, you will work closely with all departments to ensure environmental compliance according to applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities:
* Quality Assurance & Control: Implement and enforce quality standards for raw materials, production processes, and finished products. Lead quality control measures and perform analysis to ensure compliance with production specifications.
* Collaboration Across Departments: Work with production teams, external stakeholders, and the Group to ensure all quality requirements and environmental conditions are met. Contribute to improvements in the product portfolio through data analysis and the identification of trends.
* Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into quality deviations and propose corrective actions. Ensure product compliance and prevent non-compliant products from reaching customers.
* Continuous Improvement: Propose initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve process efficiency. Work with the Production Manager and engineers to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
* Laboratory Management: Oversee lab equipment and maintenance to ensure it meets quality control standards. Ensure all necessary analyses are conducted, and laboratory procedures are in line with international standards.
* Budget & Resources Management: Manage the budget for the quality department, ensuring all resources and investments are allocated efficiently to maintain the quality system.
* Reporting & Documentation: Prepare periodic reports on the quality system’s effectiveness, internal audits, customer feedback, and proposed corrective actions. Share quality data with the Group Quality Competence Center.
* Safety Leadership: Be a leader in safety and work towards achieving a zero-accident target on site by adhering to health and safety standards.
* On-Call: Participate in the site on-call system, providing support and leadership outside of normal working hours.
Your Profile:
* Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the cement or manufacturing industry. You have a strong background in quality management, environmental compliance, and lab management.
* Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to collaborate across multiple teams. You’re a problem solver with the ability to lead root cause analyses and drive improvements in product quality.
* Leadership: Strong managerial skills to lead a department, allocate shifts, and ensure smooth operations. You are comfortable working independently and making data-driven decisions.
* Technical Expertise: Knowledge of lab equipment, testing, and inspection methods. Familiarity with national and international quality control standards and regulations.
* Languages: Fluency in both French and English, as you will be working in a bilingual environment.
* Education: A degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
