To develop and answer the challenges locally of our customers on digitalization and software solutions, Siemens Mobility BeLux is looking for a Business Developer and Sales profile with a strong focus on these rail related digitalization topics.
As Sales Engineer, you will actively scan the market to detect opportunities in digitalization (eg. SaaS Solutions, cybersecurity, Specific software tools for the Mobility sector). You will be responsible for the complete sales cycle, from opportunity development through proposal development into closing the sales transaction. The business development will lead to the development of concrete business opportunities offered directly by Siemens Mobility or though selected IT-partners.
Tasks and responsibilities:
1. Market detection and analysis for the different digitalization offerings Siemens Mobility (SMO) has.
2. Develop customer contacts, build up relevant contacts at different public and private transport customers.
3. Detect customer needs and link them to the possibilities SMO can offer.
4. Build up and maintain good relationship with SMO-HQ who is provider of different portfolio elements.
5. Manage (potential) business partners to realize successful offerings.
6. Communicate and collaborate with the different Business Units of SMO BeLux to support them with cybersecurity sales.
7. Be up to date with our portfolio elements and enable the internal SMO BeLux colleagues on the possibilities.
8. Develop a multi-year opportunity pipeline with short, mid- and long-term goals to achieve.
9. Take the lead in the creation of successful offers toward our customers.
10. Turn winning proposals into successful business transactions.
Required Domain Skills:
11. Languages: good practice in Dutch, French and English is mandatory
12. Preferred education level: Master in IT or engineering
13. Experience in pure IT portfolio development and sales transactions is an advantage.
14. Experience in CAPEX or OPEX oriented sales transaction is an advantage.
15. Getting energy from listening and providing solutions and services to our customers is a must.
16. Partnership orientation towards our customers in the sales attitude is a differentiator.
17. Experience in governmental procedures is also an asset.
