Head of Project Management, Special EventsOperations & ProjectsScopeWe are seeking a highly experienced Head of Project Management, Special Events to govern and manage the teams set to deliver large-scale, world-class event projects and programs. This role is critical in ensuring the successful execution of high-profile event broadcasts, overseeing all phases from pre-planning through delivery and post-event analysis. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, deep technical knowledge of broadcast workflows, and strong leadership skills to coordinate stakeholders, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless event execution.Job DescriptionThe Head of Project Management, Special Events, is responsible for the governance, strategic oversight, and successful execution of world-class events. This leadership role ensures that all project committees operate efficiently and align with best practices, compliance standards, and organizational objectives. The position demands a governance-focused professional with expertise in managing large-scale event delivery frameworks while fostering collaboration across multiple stakeholders.Establish and implement governance structures to ensure the seamless delivery of world-class events.Lead and oversee Event Project committees, ensuring accountability, efficiency, and compliance with the EVS Event Playbook.Assist the Head of Global Project Management in defining delivery strategies and processes in line with the EVS Event Playbook.Monitor and report on governance structures, identifying risks and ensuring mitigation strategies are in place across World Class Events.Assist in the pre-sales phase by contributing to or reviewing technical proposals and participating in customer meetings.Work closely with the Head of Global Projects to ensure clear reporting lines throughout the company.Chair or oversee Event Project Committees, ensuring effective coordination between stakeholders.Act as the primary governance liaison between senior leadership and Event Project committees.Support the Project Committee in internal bi-lateral communication.Work closely with the Head of (regional) Project to ensure clear reporting lines, expectations, and accountabilities are followed.Create full awareness bilaterally across the EVS Org to ensure each stakeholder group has what they need to support, proactively measure impact, and deliver the Events.Promote Cultural/Knowledge diversity in the Event Committees aligned to EVS Corp and ESG Values.Able to coordinate technical escalations through the Event Lifecycle, assisting the Lead Event Project Manager/Director.ProfileMandatory broadcast experience in major events (Olympic Games, World Cup, Super Bowl, etc).Min 8 years of experience in the Event delivery and Project Management.Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects within the broadcast or live events industry.Expertise in risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency within the events sector.Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.Experience in governance, project management, or event operations at a senior leadership level.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, manage competing priorities, and maintain composure in a dynamic event environment.LanguagesKnowledge of other languages is an asset.OfferBecoming part of the EVS Team not only means that you will receive a competitive salary in line with your skills and the market, but also a range of other additional wellness and healthcare benefits.
