Sustainability Engineer

We are leading the way in reducing our own GHG (Green House Gas) emissions and by providing the industry with the most energy-efficient solutions. Join us in helping our rental depots and our customers to reach their sustainability goals.
To sustain our growth, we are looking for a Sustainability Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will play an important role in driving positive change and contributing to a more sustainable future. Our mission is to accelerate sustainability.
Some of the challenges you will face
As part of our team, you’ll be at the forefront of sustainability initiatives:
Enhancing sustainability performance: You will collaborate with our business to implement actions that effectively reduce GHG emissions.
Integrate, manage and enhance Carbon Calculations: You will support the incorporation of new company acquisitions. In addition, you will continuously optimize calculations.
Data Quality Assurance: You will ensure the quality and reliability of worldwide gathered emission data.
Process optimization: You will improve efficiency by automating sustainability data processes, where ever possible.
Continued Compliance: You will make sure to stay abreast of evolving ESG reporting standards and ensure that we remain compliant.
What talents are we looking for?
1. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of business and technical skills, and a genuine passion for sustainability.
2. Ideally you possess a bachelor’s/master’s degree and/or additional qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, business administration, business engineering or another related field.
3. You have excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Any other language is an asset.
4. A first relevant experience is appreciated but we are also open to hire recent graduates.
5. You are passionate about data and deriving valuable insights.
6. You are a self-motivated professional who likes to work independently with a pro-active attitude.
7. You enjoy interacting and collaborating effectively, both locally and world-wide.
8. You like working with different cultures and know how to adapt accordingly.
9. You are a computer literate with a good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI is an asset.

This role is based in Belgium (HQ Boom). Occasional travel will be required.
