We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Assembly Support Engineer to lead and support assembly engineering activities at suppliers and subcontractors. The focus will be on ensuring seamless delivery and high-quality assembly of advanced semiconductor devices. The role offers a dynamic environment where you will play a critical part in developing and optimizing key assembly processes, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Process Development: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced assembly processes, including flip chip, wire bonding, and SMT, to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
* Technical Troubleshooting: Analyze and resolve complex assembly challenges to support efficient and reliable production.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams in R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to support new product introductions and resolve technical issues.
* Process Improvement: Perform characterization studies and implement optimization strategies using statistical analysis tools to enhance yield, efficiency, and reliability.
* Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain process specifications, work instructions, and technical documentation for assembly processes.
* Expert Guidance: Act as a technical resource for the development and improvement of assembly techniques and material selection.

Required Qualifications
* Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in assembly engineering, specifically with flip chip, wire bonding, and SMT processes in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
* Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with assembly equipment, including wire bonders, flip chip bonders, and SMT placement machines.
* Materials Knowledge: Deep understanding of assembly materials such as solder, adhesives, and underfills.
* Process Optimization Skills: Proficient in using statistical analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control).
* Problem-Solving Ability: Strong troubleshooting skills to address complex assembly-related issues.
* Documentation Skills: Experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and process instructions.
