Key responsibilities:
1. Oversee monthly (P&L, BS, CF, CAPEX) and quarterly financial reporting, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
2. Review and approve variance analyses prepared by the BSC accounting team.
3. Analyze and validate financial data (Cognos, ZBB, SCFD, BI) for reporting.
4. Act as "Country Controller," ensuring legal statutory accounts meet local regulations.
Month-End & Closing
1. Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings for the country.
2. Coordinate process stages, issue instructions, and resolve issues.
3. Approve manual journal entries and provisions, liaising with departments as needed.
4. Monitor daily financial results and implement corrective actions.
Control & Asset Management
1. Track defined benefit plans, pensions, and provisions (e.g., claims/litigations).
2. Ensure accurate shared base payment calculations and postings.
3. Maintain systems and controls to safeguard assets and streamline financial activities.
Business Support & Projects
1. Drive projects like segregation of duties, process redesign (LEAN), and account reconciliations.
2. Collaborate with local managers, BSC, and zone finance teams to standardize processes.
Audit Management
1. Handle internal audit issues: review, validate, and monitor resolution.
2. Coordinate external audits, address findings, and implement remediation plans.
This role combines technical expertise with strategic oversight, making it ideal for a proactive finance professional.
Who We’re Looking For:
1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance.
2. 4–6 years of experience at a Big 4 firm or large company, ideally in accounting or audit.
3. Proficiency in financial systems (SAP, Cognos) and advanced Excel skills.
4. Sharp analytical abilities and a well-organized approach.
5. A proactive mindset to challenge the norm.
6. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
7. Fluency in English, plus Dutch or French.
