Maintenance Shift Supervisor - VF Sint-Niklaas
LET’S TALK ABOUT THE ROLE
As Maintenance Shift Supervisor, you are responsible for managing a team of technicians, engineers and subcontractors. You plan the daily maintenance and repair tasks within your shift, taking into account the optimal deployment of material and employees. You also participate in the maintenance of automated systems and provide support for complex problems in our ASRS (automated storage retrieval system).
Together with the Maintenance & Facility Manager, you work on innovation and continuous improvement. You promote safety and environmental awareness among your team and all employees at our site.
HOW DO YOU MAKE THE DIFFERENCE?
1. You will lead/organise maintenance activities, ensuring that preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out, both mechanical and electrical.
2. You provide technical support and possible follow-up to operators, subcontractors and technicians so that the maintenance plan can be realised.
3. As People manager, you support the team and ensure good cooperation between the teams.
4. You participate in planned corrective (e.g. overhauls) and preventive work according to the prepared planning & standard agreements, and work on long-term technical improvement.
5. Develop your team to improve their long-term performance and maintain their commitment to the company.
6. You will ensure that maintenance and spare parts are deployed efficiently with the aim of ensuring plant availability and performance.
7. You will be responsible for drafting work permits and notifying subcontractors.
8. You ensure the administrative follow-up of technical interventions to be carried out. You report to the Maintenance & Facility Manager.
9. You create work instructions/procedures, maintenance manuals and create management dashboards to report on the performance of your team.
10. You work closely with the Maintenance & Facility Manager.

SKILLS FOR SUCCES
oYou have at least a bachelor's degree (electromechanics or automation).
oYou have at least 7 years of experience in a maintenance department of an automated company.
oYou have a good knowledge of electromechanics and frequency controls.
oYou have knowledge of PCS7, Tia Portal, Siemens S7, S7 graph. You can diagnose and make minor adjustments to Siemens S7 PLC programmes.
oYou are communicative and analytically strong.
oYou have a pragmatic approach and are driven to find solutions and achieve results.
oYou can coach and manage a team or are looking for a first opportunity in a managerial position.You express yourself fluently in English.
oYou have strong PC knowledge (Mail, office, ...).
oYou can work safely and have no problem working at heights (Max. +/-25 meters).
oYou like to work in shifts (Mon-Do: 6h-14h / 14h-22h; Fri: 6h-13h / 13h-20h).
