Your mission:
Within the Procurement HQ team, you will be in charge of the sourcing of AVO (Added Value Operation) components for the Automotive Business. Your primary objective will be - from the concept phase (sourcing) to mass production start (SOP) - to support the business objectives and to ensure that all purchasing deliverables are met for the products launched by the Project Teams. You will also optimize the product cost through different initiatives and thoroughly negotiate the parts & tooling prices.
Your tasks will be to:
1. Select and qualify suppliers in collaboration with AGC cross-functional team, aligned with Purchasing Category Managers' strategy
2. Support project teams in identifying cost reduction opportunities
3. Be systematically involved at new projects' inception in order to conduct an early and thorough purchasing process
4. Use a "Should-Cost" model agreed with PCM to challenge supplier pricing
5. Manage RFQs with suppliers ensuring all commercial terms are agreed and documented
6. Negotiate parts and tooling prices including all terms influencing TCO to ensure that AGC’s product pricing meets Best-In-Class expectations
7. Lead all sourcing activities until project closure, create or update supplier contracts & agreements
Are you the perfect match?
1. You have an Engineering or Commercial Master Degree (or equivalent experience).
2. You already have a first procurement experience in the industry, ideally in the automotive sector.
3. You have solid communication and negotiation skills.
4. You are analytical, rigorous, attentive to details with the ability to see the big picture and to synthesize complex matters.
5. You have good command of project management skills, able to respect deadlines and to reorganize priorities when needed.
6. You have the ability to adapt your communication at all levels in multicultural environments.
7. You are fluent in English, any other European language is a plus.
8. You are flexible to travel occasionally in Europe.
