My client, a highly respected government body known for its commitment to excellence and innovation, is looking for a skilled IT professional to join their team on an initial 1-year contract, with hybrid working arrangements.Your Role:As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a key role in providing top-tier technical support, ensuring the smooth operation of IT services, and resolving user issues efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:Incident and problem management – acting as a service desk agent, incident analyst, and problem analystFirst and second-line IT support – offering both remote and on-site assistanceTracking and documentation – recording incidents, problems, and requests while maintaining operational proceduresSystem reconfiguration & installations – assisting with PC setups and troubleshootingApplication testing & administration – ensuring systems run smoothly and liaising with administratorsKnowledge sharing – drafting technical content for the internal knowledge baseWhat We’re Looking For:Minimum 3 years of IT Support experienceFluency in English & French (both written and spoken)Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsBroad IT knowledge and ability to work autonomouslyExcellent knowledge of MS Office applications and Windows environmentsUnderstanding of mobile platforms and core mobile applicationsITIL V4 Foundation Certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months)
