Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for end-users. The ideal candidate should have 3-4 years of experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring smooth IT operations in the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
* Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
* Troubleshoot operating system issues (Windows/Linux/macOS) and application-related problems.
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
* Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN).
* Provide support for Office 365, email clients, and other enterprise applications.
* Assist with IT asset management, inventory tracking, and procurement.
* Install and update antivirus software and ensure endpoint security compliance.
* Provide remote and on-site support for employees as required.
* Document troubleshooting steps, issue resolutions, and create knowledge base articles.
* Work closely with IT teams to support server and network infrastructure.
* Assist in IT-related projects, upgrades, and migrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* 3-4 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
* Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
* Hands-on experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
* Good understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, VPN).
* Experience in Active Directory, Office 365 administration, and IT security best practices.
* Knowledge of ticketing systems and remote support tools.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* IT certifications such as A+, MCSA, or ITIL (preferred).
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
* Relevant IT certifications are a plus.
