We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team at Inchcape. In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and management of HSE programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. Your role
1. Conduct thorough risk analysis to identify potential hazards and implement effective action plans, in collaboration with the business.
2. Ensure compliance with local and federal HSE regulations and standards.
3. Collaborate with the Inchcape Group to implement the Global HSE Management System, group-wide programs, stay up-to-date with Group's requirements, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
4. Develop, implement, and manage HSE programs and projects aimed at improving workplace safety and environmental performance.
5. Establish, monitor, and report on HSE KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement in safety and environmental metrics.
6. Provide training and guidance to employees on HSE practices and policies.
7. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.
8. Work effectively with (site) management and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety, wellbeing and environmental stewardship.
9. Act as the official Preventieadviseur / Conseiller en Prévention and Milieucoördinator / Coordinateur Environnemental.
10. Actively participate in and support the "Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work", providing expertise and guidance to ensure workplace safety and wellbeing initiatives.
Your profile
11. Official certificate of "Preventieadviseur niveau II / Conseiller en Prevention niveau II"
12. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE role.
13. In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
14. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
15. Good interpersonal skills and capable of influencing operational management and the HSE culture changes.
16. Excellent communication skills.
17. Experience with ISO certified systems such as ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.
18. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
19. Fluent in Dutch or French, with a knowledge of the other language. Fluent in English.
