You will manage the delivery of all HSE activities in a manufacturing facility or commercial areas (offices, Sales, Warehouses), including standards & procedures, capability processes, reporting, compliance and audit. That means you will define and review standards and legislation applicable to site, validate design for HSE into projects and modifications, and support defined work processes ( IIM pillar) to improve HSE application and effectiveness. Also, you will map all applicable legislation and internal standards, ensure ongoing compliance and manage relationship with legal department and local authorities. How you will contribute
You will:
1. Co-ordinate implementation of all HSE programs and processes. Prepare and build consensus annual plans for facility/function wide HSE initiatives
2. Plan/Budget/Control annual capital budget for HSE to enable execution of the HSE plan and adherence to all internal and external compliance standards
3. Provide HSE expertise for the facility/function for all new projects and change management activities
4. Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents, asset losses that might cause harm to one of the company’s employees, contractors, visitors
5. Ensure that the appropriate talent is in place through training, mentoring, and succession planning and supports development and learning capabilities of Safety specialists
6. Ensure the facility standards are in compliance with both Company and governmental/community regulations
7. Ensure training and coaching are taking place to drive a safety-perfect culture and to ensure safety standards and awareness are well understood throughout the plant organization

What you need to know about this position:
12. The role is a member of the Regional HSE Leadership team and the Category or Regional Leadership team.
13. They provide leadership and administration to the overall HSE programme by developing plans for implementing the 3-yr regional strategy, achieving consensus and buy-in from Category/Region Leadership team against the plan, and actively driving the implementation of and monitoring progress against the plan and corresponding objectives.
14. The position will liaise with the Regional HSE team members to ensure alignment with global, regional and category strategy and targets as well as to coordinate the support for the plan in a timely manner.
15. The role will also mentor and support the Plant HSE Managers in their area.
16. Overall primary advisor to the Category/Regional Leader, Plant / Cluster Directors and contact point for all HSE Managers for all HSE matters in the area of responsibility.
17. Sets standards for performance and continuous improvement.
18. Supports prioritisation of capex spending for HSE improvement and compliance projects.
Job specific requirements:
19. Defines the Category/Regional HSE Plan, ensuring alignment (where appropriate) to the MEU Regional and global strategy.
20. Develops performance standards and recommends to Clusters and Plants how to implement the standards.
21. Conducts periodic assessments to monitor and aid Plant HSE compliance to Mondelez standards.
22. Provides HSE expertise and seeks guidance from internal (or if required external) subject matter experts.
23. Ensures compliance and understanding of MDLZ standards, policies and regulatory requirements including for new projects and the management of change driving innovation and continuous improvement.
24. Develops appropriate local capabilities to drive performance and grow talent through training, mentoring & coaching.
25. Benchmark and stay up to date with the latest trends, research and best practices in HSE, sharing insights and recommendations with internal stakeholders as appropriate.
26. Is a member of the Regional/Category leadership team and leads on some aspects of the MEU HSE Plan.
What extra ingredients you will bring:
27. University Degree in Health, occupational health and/or safety field, Environment or equivalent
28. Internal non HSE candidates must gain H,S and/or E qualifications within 2 years of appointment.
29. At least 5 years’ experience in health, occupational health and /or safety, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
30. Demonstrated team, change and project management experience
31. Excellent interpersonal communication and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders/communities at all levels.
32. Experienced in Auditing systems, root cause analysis, risk assessment and project management.
33. Experience of working with diverse cultures and driving cultural change.
34. The ability to travel as required.
