About ENTSO-E
ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.

The Communication Specialist actively contributes to the implementation of the ENTSO-E Communication Strategy. In this role, you lead projects that support communication activities tied to the delivery of the organisation’s legal mandates while enhancing ENTSO-E’s reputation and raising awareness. We seek a creative individual who proposes innovative and engaging actions to convey messages effectively and enhance ENTSO-E’s visibility, aligning with the organisation’s communication goals.
The role is placed at the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels. In this role, you will work in the Policy, Communication and Stakeholder Management (PCSM) section, reporting directly to the Strategic Communication Manager.
Occasional travels (e.g. 1-2 days per month) to Member TSOs and other organisations may be required.
Your responsibilities
Responsibilities may be subject to change depending on the evolution of priorities and projects. Key tasks and responsibilities will include:
1. Implementation of ENTSO-E Communications Strategy:
o Execute and contribute to the implementation of the ENTSO-E communications strategy.
o Liaise with the Policy and Stakeholder Management team and other sections to ensure alignment with the goals and advocacy strategy of ENTSO-E.
2. Management of communication projects:
o Lead and coordinate publication projects of ENTSO-E (e.g. publication of the annual report).
o Coordinate and support the organisation of internal and external events.
o Ensure the reporting on the progress and outcomes of communication projects.
o Support cross-team coordination regarding communication activities.
3. Content creation:
o Responsible for content development and dissemination through various platforms, including websites, social media, newsletters, press releases.
o Write clear and compelling copy for marketing materials ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
4. Coordination of communications channels:
o Coordinate and deliver weekly newsletters.
o Support website updates to ensure timely and accurate publication of news.
o Plan, create, and publish engaging content for ENTSO-E social media, aligning with ENTSO-E communication strategy and monitor engagement.
o Based on experience, contribute to the improvement of the communication channels of ENTSO-E.
o Provide ad hoc support to the PCSM team.
o Provide support on administrative tasks when required.
o Contribute to the definition and improvement of communication processes.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with the following skills and abilities:
* University degree in Political science, economy, communications, or law
* At least 5 years’ of working experience in relevant field, experience in the EU Energy policy sector is desired.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities.
* Creative approach to content creation and communication strategies, with experience developing innovative campaigns and materials for diverse audiences.
* Experience in event organisation is considered an asset.
* Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English.
* Proactive and results-oriented attitude.
* Motivation to work within a multinational and multicultural professional environment.
