About the Role:
If you’re looking for a role with variety, this is it. As a Key Account Manager your main focus will be to drive sales development across a number of clients. You’ll work alongside the head of Accounts to build brilliant relationships with a breadth of clients define sales strategies, targets, programs, commercial initiatives and promotional policies.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Key Account Manager, your role involves actively supporting the achievement of agreed annual financial budgets and customer-related sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for designated major customers. This entails tracking and analyzing the evolving dynamics of the market and customer base. You'll delve into understanding competitor strategies, agreements, and innovations, aiming to identify growth opportunities that align with our objectives.
Moreover, you'll be an integral part of negotiations for annual agreements on pricing and conditions, contributing to the establishment of collaborative commercial relationships. Your involvement extends to assisting in budget preparation and diligently monitoring payments, working closely with our customer service and accounting teams to ensure smooth operations.
In addition to financial aspects, you'll play a crucial role in the execution of category and brand strategies at the customer level. Your contribution ensures that our efforts are aligned with overarching objectives, maximizing impact and enhancing customer engagement.
Operational management is another key aspect of your role. You'll be responsible for monitoring the evolution of sales volumes, evaluating the effectiveness of promotions, and assisting in the design of action plans to optimize performance.
Efficient communication and collaboration are vital components of success in this role. You'll facilitate seamless interaction with other departments such as Customer Service, Trade Marketing, Marketing, and Supply Chain, ensuring that strategies are implemented cohesively and efficiently.
Lastly, your participation in national and regional management sales meetings is essential. You'll contribute insights and assist in communicating plans to the field teams, ensuring alignment and effective implementation of strategies at all levels.
In summary, as a Key Account Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting various aspects of our sales operations, contributing to our growth and success through diligent analysis, collaborative efforts, and effective communication.
Who we are looking for:
You are graduate of one Master degree in Economics or Marketing and have a first mandatory experience as KAM retail in Benelux
Your career path is at minimum of 7-10 years of experience with experience in Sales Negotiation and/or Trade Marketing role
Expert regarding key responsibilities of the KAM role, like budgeting, forecasting & effective business planning, you are able to coach one KAM assistant
You have some strong basis on negotiation, communication and analytical skills
You are able to lead in autonomy and to manage the relationships with customers
You have some knowledges regarding Profit & Loss management, commercial and office software (like SAP, TPM, excel)
You are trilingual in Dutch, French and English
