As a Category Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our categories and customers. By leveraging diverse data sources—customer, shopper, and consumer data—you’ll provide actionable insights and solid recommendations.
You’ll be diving into two exciting categories: dairy/baby nutrition or plant-based/waters, and collaborating with a variety of retailers.
Your mission: Forge strong partnerships with our retail allies to boost category growth. Internally, you’ll be the linchpin, working hand-in-hand with account management, marketing, PRGM, the field team, and fellow category managers to bring Danone’s growth initiatives to life at the point of purchase. Your Responsibilities:
1. Category Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of category drivers and barriers to create a compelling vision for your customers.
2. Data-Driven Decisions: Extract actionable business development opportunities from various data resources to drive growth.
3. Growth Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities at your retailers through thorough category analysis.
4. Collaborative Reviews: Conduct regular category assortment and shelving reviews with retail partners.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with brand and customer teams to support Danone initiatives, aligning with customer expectations and category trends.
6. Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers, engaging them with compelling trade stories to drive growth initiatives.
7. Innovation Success: Ensure the success of innovations through solid volume potential recommendations and sales story development.
About You
8. Analytical: Possesses a strong analytical mindset.
9. Proactive: Has a can-do attitude, is creative, and strives for excellence.
10. Communicative: Exhibits strong commercial and communication skills, both internally and externally, to engage and inspire.
11. Collaborative: Thrives in cross-functional teams.
12. Experienced: Brings 3 years of experience in sales or marketing roles within the FMCG context.
13. Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI (knowledge of space management systems is a plus).
14. Bilingual: Fluent in Dutch and French, with proficient knowledge of English.
