Right now, we’re looking for a VP Accounting & Tax to join our leadership team — someone who’s passionate about numbers, driven by detail and inspired by people.
As our VP Accounting & Tax, you’ll take the lead in shaping and strengthening Telenet’s financial backbone. You’ll manage a dynamic team of finance pros, ensure spotless financial reporting, and stay ahead of the game in a fast-changing regulatory landscape.
You’ll be in the driver’s seat for:
Leading, inspiring and developing a diverse team of finance talents — both direct and indirect reports.
Overseeing all accounting and tax operations for the Telenet Group in line with BEGAAP, USGAAP and IFRS standards.
Owning the accuracy and completeness of our financial statements and key financial transaction documents.
Managing group financial and tax consolidation (+50 entities) and keeping everything crisp and compliant.
Taking the lead on exciting, business-critical projects like Pillar II, E-Invoicing, and IFRS 18 .
Collaborating with teams across Treasury, FP&A, Legal, Compliance, Strategy, and of course, our colleagues at Liberty Global .
Keeping our culture sharp — nurturing talent, building succession pipelines, and helping grow tomorrow’s finance leaders.
Who will you work with?
You’ll report directly to our CFO and work hand-in-hand with:
Compliance and finance systems teams (audit, SOx, ERP, EPM, etc.)
Business Controlling and FP&A
Treasury and Legal departments
Strategy & M&A teams
Our parent company Liberty Global’s SVP Chief Accounting Officer and their team
What do you bring?
A Master’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
CPA, CA or equivalent professional designation .
At least 15 years of experience in accounting, tax, reporting, auditing, and risk/compliance — with a minimum of 5 years leading larger finance teams .
Industry experience in Telecom, Media, or Entertainment ? Big plus!
A natural leader with credibility and people skills to match.
Deep expertise in financial reporting, tax legislation and accounting standards.
Strong communicator, capable of partnering with C-level leadership and boards.
A curious, collaborative, future-focused mindset.
Comfortable leading in a matrix organization and adapting to continuous change.
A proven track record in building high-performing, diverse teams and delivering complex projects with clarity and integrity.
