The Trimble Transport and Logistics business unit, of which the operational and development teams are located in Belgium, is looking for a Project Manager to join our team.
As a project manager you will be responsible to manage the complete rollout of the Trimble solutions into the customer’s business process. During the complete project lifecycle you will be the main single point of contact for the customer. You will report to the Sales Director BeLu.
What You Will Do
You prepare a project plan:
1. Determine the project scope together with customer & account manager
2. Align with product manager in case of new feature requests
3. Define the project deliverables & milestones an contact external third parties
4. Capture the needs of the customer, proactively suggest the different possibilities and assist in choosing the best fit
5. Demonstrate the complete solution as how it would be implemented
6. Communicate the captured information to the relevant internal department for processing.
7. Provide up to date documentation towards customer
You implement the project:
8. Execute project according to project plan
9. During implementation, you’ll guard the milestone
10. Assist the customer during implementation, this includes technical assistance, extra training, problems/questions and change requests
11. Arrange the necessary training for the customer’s dispatch team and the driver trainers.
You control and evaluate the project:
12. Log all time spent on project
13. Immediately report problems when they occur
14. Provide weekly reports towards customer/account manager
15. Guard milestones, time consumption, quality & budget
16. Correctly and consistently use the Trimble TL management tools
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
17. You have an IT background which covers a wide range of different systems & architectures.
18. You have xml and xslt knowledge and know the basics of GPRS and APN
19. You know web services, the ASP model and understand network architecture
20. You show commercial feeling and are stress resistant
21. Truck & Transport and/or telecom experience is an advantage
22. Organizing and planning is your passion
23. You are able to work independent and to take ownership
24. Experience in integrating different systems is an advantage
25. You have good communication skills and are able to handle problems in a diplomatic order
26. You are eager to learn new things
27. Full professional proficiency in Dutch, French and English is a requirement
