About this job
We seek to appoint a motivated intern with interest in the fields of green economy, environmental policy and sustainability, blueeconomy, and climate finance to gain hands-on experience in dealing with projects entailing policy evaluations, impact assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
Technopolis Group is leading a wide range of projects for the European Institutions (such as European Commission, European Investment Bank, European Parliament), international organisations and national authorities on topics covering the uptake of the transition to sustainability and climate neutrality of public and private sectors.
Your profile
The successful candidate should have a recently finalised university degree and preferably from a Master’s programme in environmental policy / management / science / engineering or relates areas such as business, management, public policy, political sciences, – with specialisation and interest on sustainability topics.
Beyond educational background, applicants suitable for this position should have:
* Passion for the new developments in EU policies in the area of green economy, environment and sustainability, blue economy, energy, and climate finance.
* Interest in stakeholder engagement, network development activities.
* Acquaintance with qualitative research methods (e.g. literature reviews, desk research, stakeholder interviews, case studies, surveys).
* Knowledge of advanced quantitative research methods, with one or more of the following considered a plus: modelling, statistical sampling techniques, simulation, managing large datasets, or indicators development
* A positive attitude towards liaising with different stakeholders (i.e. companies, business associations, cluster associations and public authorities).
* Attention to detail.
* Good coordination and communication skills.
* Full proficiency in English in speaking and writing. Knowledge of any other EU language is a plus.
Further to this we are looking for a candidate with a "can do" attitude, who is attentive to details and who can operate well in teams.
Your responsibilities
Support in ongoing projects in the area of (but not limited to) Green transition including:
* Conduct desk research on a specific topics, assist in literature reviews, and draft case studies and examples of good practice in topics related to policy areas listed above
* Conduct interviews with various stakeholders (industry, agencies, public sector, etc.)
* Support the design and implementation of surveys / online consultations and in the data collection process
* Support in editing/formatting, layout and administrative tasks in projects
* Contribute to the organisation of workshops and working groups, both online and on-site
* Support in administrative tasks in secretariat projects (e.g. organisation of meetings and webinars)
* Support communication activities (monitoring the content, drafting articles, managing online content, contacting content sources, etc.).
