PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Represent Cadence with the EU Commission and European member states in the context of the EU Chips Act and other government initiatives across the European Union.
2. Engage directly with ecosystem and academic partners, established partners and semiconductor startups to develop pipeline, define services, software, hardware and cloud requirements, and create proposals or contracts as needed.
3. Provide risk assessment of contract terms and other issues, offering alternate approaches to mitigate risk, including alternate contractual language.
4. Support negotiations with customers, suppliers, and regulators.
5. Guide Cadence business teams regarding potential contract maintenance, operational and financial issues raised in Government RFP’s and Terms and Conditions
6. Identify and elevate issues and risk exposure to executive management, legal and sales teams.
7. Broad company knowledge and an understanding of the Cadence Design Systems products, services and processes
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
8. Bachelor’s Degree (with prior industry experience) or equivalent work experience, preferably in silicon design and/or electronics manufacturing fields
9. Broad knowledge and experience with all phases of Government contract negotiation and management
10. Detail-oriented with superior reading comprehension skills related to accuracy and thoroughness.
11. Excellent English verbal/written communication skills required, French or German skills a positive.
12. Strong organizational and time management skills required.
13. Ability to work independently while balancing multiple concurrent deadlines and shifting priorities as appropriate to meet business needs.
