Job Title: General Manager Belgium & Luxembourg – Biotech (Oncology)

Role Overview:
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the new Belgian subsidiary with the support of the US corporate group. You will drive the company’s strategy, ensuring successful market entry and commercial execution in Belgium and Luxembourg. Acting as an entrepreneur, you will take initiatives and empower those around you, ensuring business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Subsidiary Creation & Leadership: set up and lead the new Belgian entity, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with local regulations.
* Strategic Market Development: translate the Group’s global strategy into an effective local strategy, including product mix, pricing, and competitive positioning.
* Team Leadership & Development: recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing local team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
* Market Access & Pricing:
Oversee pricing and reimbursement processes, working closely with regulatory bodies such as INAMI in Belgium and the relevant authorities in Luxembourg.
Demonstrate a proven ability to negotiate with health authorities and decision-makers to secure optimal market conditions and reimbursement approvals.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Innovation in Oncology
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, payers, and policymakers.
Foster strategic partnerships with institutional actors in integrative medicine to redefine oncology approaches, ensuring a more holistic and patient-centered care model.
Lead Public Affairs initiatives to shape policy discussions and enhance the company’s presence within the healthcare ecosystem.
* Commercial Execution: drive sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring optimal market penetration and sustainable business growth.
* Financial & Operational Management: ensure P&L accountability, operational efficiency, and adherence to corporate and regulatory standards.
Profile &Qualifications:
* Degree from a recognized business school or a scientific field (life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or related disciplines), with a strong understanding of business and biotech strategies
* Proven experience in a General Manager (min 3 years), Country Manager (3-5 years), within biotech, pharma, or healthcare
* Mandatory requirement : strong understanding of pricing and reimbursement processes in Belgium, including interactions with INAMI and CRM
* Proven track record in obtaining reimbursement approvals in Belgium and/or Luxembourg would be preferred
* Experience in market access strategy for oncology, with the ability to negotiate with health authorities
* Experience in Public Affairs strategy, with a track record of engaging policymakers and shaping healthcare policies
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead a new business unit from the ground up
* Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills
* Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or Dutch is a plus
