Job description
Position Overview: As an Industrialization Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing Product Industrialization and optimizing the quality of our steel products through rigorous trial processes. Working closely with production teams, process teams, planning, and quality departments across our sites, you will ensure seamless integration of new products and processes into standard production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and execute trials to optimize product industrialization.
* Conduct comprehensive risk analyses throughout the production chain.
* Identify and address weaknesses in industrialization trials.
* Prepare detailed reports highlighting improvement opportunities.
* Develop operational procedures for new and existing equipment.
* Ensure long-term product stability through quality enhancements and effective problem-solving.
* Facilitate data collection and analysis to support decision-making processes.
* Drive innovation in processes and systems to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
* Optimize product quality from initial stages to final products (Hot rolled, Pickled, galvanized, and pre-painted).
* Collaborate closely with RTC (Research, Technology, and Development) and Quality departments, and engage with customers as needed.
* Stay informed about new manufacturing technologies and recommend their integration where applicable.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods, including experience with software such as Minitab.
* Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
* Diploma in Material Science or related field.
* Strong organizational skills with a structured approach to work.
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Proficiency in writing reports in English and French.
* Willingness to work on the production floor to understand operational nuances.
* Fluency in French and English languages.
Experience:
* 3-6 years of relevant experience in industrialization engineering or similar roles within the manufacturing sector.
