The university is looking for a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence and Reporting Specialist to join the Data and Reporting Services Team, which is part of our Central Administration IT department. Our team provides data-driven insights and solutions to support the administration and strategic decision-making of the university.
As a Business Intelligence and Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions to support the university's strategic objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders across different departments to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights through interactive reports and dashboards. As part of our team, you will manage the full lifecycle of BI projects, from gathering requirements to delivering the final reports and training end-users. Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using tools such as Power BI and Databricks
Manage the full lifecycle of BI projects, including requirement gathering, development, rollout, and user training
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Develop and maintain data models and ETL processes in Azure Data Factory and Databricks
Create and manage appealing reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to support decision-making
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular data validation and quality checks
Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and best practices
Work in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner
Stay up-to-date with the latest BI trends and technologies to continuously improve our BI capabilities
Your profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field
Proven experience in BI and reporting, with a strong proficiency in Power BI Databricks and other BI tools
Experience with Azure Data Factory and SAP
Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and database management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management tools
Fluency in English and French; German is an asset
