IT Supply Chain LeadCompany: A Global Biotechnology CompanyContract: A 6 month full-time contract initially with the possibility of extension!Location: 4 days per week in Ghent Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled IT Supply Chain Lead to drive technology initiatives within our Supply Chain function. This role will focus on leading technology-driven solutions to enhance logistics, distribution, and manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT business analysis, supply chain technology, and vendor management. While some business analysis (BA) work will continue to be outsourced, this role will ensure internal leadership, collaboration, and oversight of supply chain technology projects.Key Responsibilities:Strategic & Technical Leadership:Lead IT-driven supply chain initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability.Engage in technical discussions, maintaining a strong understanding of the technology landscape to drive informed decision-making.Oversee system implementation, integration, and optimization across supply chain functions.Evaluate and recommend solutions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and business requirements.Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration:Act as a key liaison between internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure seamless communication and execution.Participate in vendor sessions, challenging vendors to ensure they meet deliverables and uphold commitments.Ensure external vendors adhere to SLAs, maintaining accountability for project timelines and outcomes.Partner with supply chain and procurement teams to streamline technology solutions.Process Improvement & Implementation:Support the design and implementation of supply chain systems, optimizing efficiency and automation.Work with business teams and external vendors to enhance data flow, reporting, and operational processes.Identify and drive opportunities for automation and system integrations, including ERP, SCM, and logistics platforms.Support change management efforts by ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.Key Qualifications & Experience:5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or IT Lead supporting supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing teams in the biopharmaceutical industry.Strong understanding of rare disease supply chain challenges is highly advantageous.Experience with Transport Management Systems, Logistics/Transport Management, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems.Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle highly preferred) and integrations.Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills to drive project success.Ability to liaise with vendors and manufacturing partners, ensuring consistent communication and execution.Proficiency in system implementation, process mapping, and technology-driven problem-solving.Example Projects & Initiatives:Transport Management System Implementation: Support logistics and distribution scalability, ensuring efficient and cost-effective product distribution across markets.
