Context
The mission of Proximus Ada, Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Cybersecurity, is to support the Proximus group (and its partners) to bring value through innovative solutions across domains thanks to those two high tech that Proximus Ada, a spin-off of Proximus, has recently been founded (April 2022) and is a fast-growing start-up. We went from 50 to 90 employees in about 16 months.
The team you would join is responsible for the growth & success of our AI business across various types of partners. It goes from B2B sales, project implementation, developing AI assets or drive research initiatives.

Role description
As an AI Pre-Sales Engineer you will play an essential role in bridging the gap between complex AI solutions and client needs. To that extent, you will translate technical specs into clear language, explain & demonstrate how AI solves business problems and collaborate with teams to build customer solutions & craft pitches and demos. You will need to use deep AI knowledge to answer questions and address concerns, build client relationships, assess needs, and align product capabilities. Your role will drive sales success and ensures proposed AI solutions are feasible, valuable, and aligned with client vision.
Responsibilities
4. You will help qualifying leads, writing solution proposals (RFP’s) & pitch it to prospects in collaboration with Account managers, sales & experts [70%]
5. You will lead the design & delivery of Proof of Concepts/Values to foster impactful innovation & create engagement [20%]
6. You will help growing the Proximus Ada AI portfolio [10%]
Degree & experience
7. Master's degree in a relevant field (Business Engineering, Business management with a focus on AI)
8. 3+ years of relevant work experience in the field
Profile
9. You have a strong knowledge of AI technology application, machine learning algorithms and data science approaches
10. You have good knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure + IT software development
11. You have practical experience in E2E AI projects development and you are familiar with AIOps/MLOps
12. You can easily translate complex technical details (or abstract methods) into clear customer applications & benefits
13. You have experience in answering RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s
14. You are solution oriented with strong analytical & problem-solving skills to address customer challenges
15. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) for solution demonstrations, and you can tailor it to your audience
16. You are proactive and eager to take ownership
17. You are organized, professional, structured in your approach & follow up and you have the sense of details
18. You are a team player and love to work both with business & technical profiles
19. You are curious & eagerness to stay updated with the lates AI trends, techniques and industry developments
20. You can create impactful & professional PowerPoint presentations to inspire & convince new customers to invest in AI
21. You can inspire & motivate others, facilitate co-creation & drive initiatives
22. You have experience in conducting market analyses & presenting results to executives
23. You are independent with a growth mindset (seeking feedback & applying lessons learned)
24. Practical experience with data science languages (python, spark, SQL) libraries is a big plus
25. Any Project management (also agile) certification is a plus
Languages
Excellent communication skills, both written & speaking, in English and Dutch are mandatory
Proficiency in French is a big plus
