The main goal of the logistics planner is to ensure smooth planning of all incoming and outgoing goods flows. The logistics planner ensures good communication with the customer at all times. In addition, reporting and analyzing the performance of the department and by extension the site is part of your daily responsibilities.
Daily customer contacts to coordinate operational issues
* Customer support in case of problems/concerns
* Handles emails in the general inbound and outbound mailboxes correctly and in a timely manner
* Supports and implements new client requirement
Transportation & Workload Planning Inbound & Outbound.
* Coordinates and monitors inbound container flow through the inland port
* Plans, monitors and reports inbound volumes via pipeline reports
* Manage daily outbound transportation planning
* Daily operational contacts with port operator and forwarding (shipping)
* Correct scheduling of pallet deliveries to ensure a stable warehouse process
Project follow-up
* Participates in achieving objectives
* Works with the Supervisor & Process engineer to support improvement projects
* Dares to question and improve existing processes
Relationship Management
* Networking and maintaining good relationships with both suppliers and customers, logistics partners and other departments, attending calls and meetings both digitally and face to face
* Provide support to back office colleagues
Reporting and analysis.
* Daily/weekly/monthly reporting on the performance of the department and by extension the warehouse
* To help detect and implement improvements
* Prepare outgoing invoices
Requirements

* Fluent Dutch and English in word and writing
* Experience in a warehousing environment and the logistics flows associated with it
* Thorough knowledge of excel is a must. Experience with Power BI is a plus
