ELECTRONICS ENGINEER - GHENT (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION
We are seeking a highly motivated Electronics Engineer to play a crucial role in the design, development, and verification of advanced electronic systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on the full lifecycle of electronic product development, from concept to production.
As an Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing electronic circuits and PCBs, ensuring the reliability of ASICs through rigorous verification, managing supplier relationships, and leading prototyping efforts to drive technology forward.
You will collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers, suppliers, and manufacturers to develop high-performance electronic solutions that meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop electronic systems and PCBs, including schematic capture and layout.
* Define system architecture and component selection for optimal performance, cost, and reliability.
* Develop and integrate ASICs into electronic systems.
* Conduct ASIC verification, including simulation, validation, and debugging.
* Perform hardware testing, debugging, and validation of electronic circuits and systems.
* Develop and execute test plans for electronic components and systems.
* Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure component availability, quality, and compliance.
* Evaluate and qualify electronic components and suppliers.
* Work with manufacturing teams to ensure design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) principles are followed.
* Develop and test prototypes to validate new electronic designs.
* Iterate designs based on performance testing and feedback from R&D teams.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience in PCB design using Altium, KiCad, Cadence, or similar tools.
* Strong knowledge of ASIC verification methodologies using UVM, SystemVerilog, or similar.
* Hands-on experience in prototyping and hardware testing.
* Understanding of signal integrity, power management, and embedded systems.
* Experience working with suppliers and manufacturers in the electronics industry.
* Proficiency in debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
