The job
As a Financial & Cost Business Partner, you manage financial controlling for the support functions (HR, IT, Finance, Marketing, Sales & Branches), making sure everything follows company policies. You track costs, financial KPIs, and provide insights to help improve planning, support decision-making, and increase profits.
Your key responsibilities
1. You analyze costs, budgets, and forecasts to find ways to improve resource use and financial performance.
2. You track and report KPIs, such as working capital and cash flow, and share key findings with the CFO.
3. You prepare monthly financial reports and manage operational and investment budgets during the annual budget process to ensure they align with company goals.
4. You prepare the monthly financial results for Oleochemicals to Avril and report KPIs to support management decisions.
5. You manage master data for controlling, making sure it’s accurate and easy to use for decision-making.
6. You are the go-to person for any financial questions or analyses from the management team.
7. You work with other departments to turn financial insights into action plans while keeping strong internal controls for accurate reporting.
8. You help with process improvements, stay updated on industry trends, and share your knowledge with colleagues.
By providing clear financial insights and ensuring strong controls, you help drive smart decisions and improve performance across the company.
You'll succeed if:
1. You hold a master’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
2. At least, you should possess a first experience within finance preferably as a controller. Experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment is a strong advantage.
3. Familiarity with SAP and advanced data analysis tools is a plus.
4. Fluent proficiency in English & Dutch is essential, while proficiency in French is an additional asset.
5. Furthermore, you have excellent analytical skills with the capability to derive actionable insights from financial data to influence business strategies.
