Hauptaufgaben
As a Materials Handler, you will:
- Receive incoming equipment and material. Verify received items against documents for correct quantity, condition, stock number and nomenclature. Store property within assigned storage area according to storage plan and records location on appropriate documents.
- Select and assemble stock for shipment, assuring outgoing items are properly marked, tagged, or labeled. Load trucks or freight cars.
- Select and set up proper storage areas for items within the general warehousing plan considering size, shape, quantity, use, expiration dates, and possibility of damages, deterioration, and contamination to or from other items.
- Conduct inventories.
- Operate electric/diesel forklifts to load and unload, relocate and palletize items.
- Operate trucks to pick up and deliver stock.
Qualifikationsanforderungen
Applicants must demonstrate one year of professional experience in related field.
Applicants must possess a valid European driving license B and C.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of the overall warehousing plan and accepted warehousing methods, procedures, and techniques to select proper storage location and store, stock, and palletize items in consideration of size, shape, and quantity.
- Ability to read technical manuals in English.
- Ability to apply safety rules.
- Ability to observe work rules and regulations strictly.
- The applicant must be able to lift 50lbs.

DRIVING LICENSE: B and C Required.

ORGANIZATION AND PLACE OF DUTY:
US Army in Belgium is an American government agency whose mission is to provide logistical and administrative support to the US personnel at NATO and SHAPE in Belgium.
DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER:
- Permanent, full-time (38 hours/week)
- Regular work schedule (Monday through Friday)
- Salary: from 2,342.12 EUR gross/month at grade BB-03

The SELECTEE will:
- Provide an extract of criminal record: "Modele 1". This document may be requested to the local resident registration office.
- Be subject to a Foreign National Screening administrated by the SHAPE Belgian Police.
- Pass an English test and a medical evaluation.
