For our client, Poppies Bakeries, we are looking for an HSE Manager, overseeing the sites in Zonnebeke, Komen, and D'haubry. Since 1935, Poppies has been delighting its customers with cookies, pastries, and desserts for true connoisseurs. With their (honest) products, they pamper almost the entire world, supported by more than 1,300 employees spread across 14 production sites and several local sales organizations. In Belgium, in addition to the headquarters, they have 6 production sites located in Komen, Zonnebeke (2), Wervik, Tubeke, and Beringen. Discover their extensive history via: https://www.poppies.com/nl In this role as HSE Manager: You will analyze the current situation and define the safety, health, and environmental policies for the 3 sites. You will organize safety audits. You will create prevention plans and annual action plans for each site, within the global policy. You will act as a coach and mentor for the local departments. You will be present on the shop floor and provide hands-on support where necessary. You will initiate group initiatives to promote safety and health. You will provide support to the external environmental coordinator. You will report to the COO. You hold a master's degree and have a technical affinity. You have relevant experience as an HSE manager in an industrial environment. You possess a Prevention Advisor II certificate (a Prevention Advisor I certificate is a plus). You have a hands-on mentality and are also strategically, pragmatically, and practically oriented. You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
