On behalf of our client Alco Energy, a bio-ethanol producer, we are looking for an experienced Energy Project Developer, who will be responsible for delivering an ambitious climate plan – to transition from fossil to renewable energy sources, and thus contribute to the fight against climate change.
Location: Brussels; Ghent; Rotterdam
Job description
Alco Energy is part of Alcogroup (Alco), a European pioneer in bio-ethanol. Alco supplies top-quality renewable products globally, both in fuel and traditional markets. With headquarters in Brussels and operations on several continents, Alco is one of the biggest producers and distributors of ethanol for fuel in Europe. Globally they provide ethanol to various industries: from cosmetics to pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, food and beverage. Alco’s products contribute to a more sustainable way of living, for example: less fossil fuel and less greenhouse gas emissions from transport. Today, Alco produces fuel ethanol in the EU with a carbon intensity almost 95% lower than gasoline. We have also production facilities in Canada, South Africa, and Mauritius.
Alco believes that without firm commitments and clear solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we won’t achieve the goals we set for ourselves and the generations to come. Therefore, Alco develops sustainable solutions that add value to their final customers in the food, industrial, or energy sectors. Alco has a pioneering spirit: this is part of their identity and will continue to drive them in the coming decades.
