The Deloitte M&A & Finance team delivers professional services in M&A transactions, related to both sell- and buy side. Our buy side services are embedded into an end-to-end approach (valuation, negotiation, due diligence, contracting,..), focusing on privately owned companies. Typically our services are delivered on “moments that matter” to our customers.
In order to grow our M&A & Finance team (50 professionals) and more particularly our buy-side business, we are looking for a Senior Manager Financial Due Diligence.
Your journey with us
As a Senior Manager, your tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
1. You perform financial due diligence procedures relating to the purchase of companies and businesses. You identify financial issues that may be of relevance and assess the possible impact on the transaction.
2. You identify and understand the key drivers related to both the business and proposed transaction and provide value to the client through our services and the deliverables we produce.
3. You gather, verify and analyze information, and articulate your views and conclusions in a final Due Diligence report and meeting(s) with our clients.
4. During your analysis you regularly involve with both our client as well as the target company and its advisors.
5. You work closely with M&A & Finance- and Tax & Legal colleagues, sharing responsibility for the project, providing support, and communicating all issues, conclusions, and the progress made.
6. You act as a coach/mentor to others, sharing your technical expertise and approach with your team members.
7. You create and implement a business development plan in Flanders in order to grow our financial due diligence offering. Your (future) connection with different communities (private equity firms, family offices, corporates having a buy and build strategy) will be key for the success of the financial due diligence advisory.
Let's talk about you To qualify for the role you must have:
8. A Master's degree and +/- 10 years of audit experience and/or other M&A related experience (financial DD included).
9. Strong communication and report writing skills in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
10. A team player attitude with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
