This role is pivotal in providing technical guidance, developing proof of concepts (PoCs), and ensuring the adoption of best architectural practices across our development teams. You will be part of a transversal and multi-disciplinary team, in close contact with other development and platform teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various architectural patterns and extensive experience with modern frameworks and tools.
Responsibilities
Architectural Guidance: Provide expert advice on architectural patterns and best practices to ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.
Proof of Concepts (PoCs): Develop and evaluate PoCs for new frameworks, tools, and technologies to assess their feasibility and potential impact on our projects.
Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide development teams in adopting new technologies and improving their coding practices.
Kafka Integration: Design and implement Kafka-based solutions for real-time data processing and streaming, ensuring robust and scalable event-driven architectures.
Collaboration: Work closely with Infrastructure, Platform, QA, and other team members to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural decisions, PoCs, and best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and proactively suggest improvements to our development processes.
Experience
7+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless) and hands-on experience with modern frameworks and tools.
A proficient and proven working experience with API-based micro-service architecture and DDD.
Kafka Proficiency: Extensive experience with Apache Kafka, including setup, configuration, and optimization for high-throughput and low-latency data streaming.
Programming Skills: Experience with .NET ecosystem development technologies (C#, .NET, Visual Studio, LINQ, …)
DevOps Practices: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines like Azure, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Knowledge or skilled in cloud technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, Helm charts...)
Experience with relational database management system (SQL Server, PostgreSQL), graph database (GraphQL) is a plus.

Experience in a product-oriented environment, preferably software vendor.
Knowledge of banking and finance topics
Knowledge of business process modeling techniques such as BPMN and UML.
Experience on working with in the ArchiMate modelling language, preferably within Sparx Enterprise Architect.
Understanding and experience of SAFe/Agile/Scrum methodologies
