What You will Do
The QHSE Manager actively contributes to the development and the maintenance of the AE Antwerp Offshore’s vessel management systems. She/ he is carrying out internal audits and inspections, performing risk analyses and accident investigations. She/ he’s mentoring and motivating the Masters, Chief Engineers and Safety Officers on board the managed OSV fleet and additionally provides advice to other colleagues involved in offshore vessel management within the Anglo-Eastern Group. She/ he is prepared to undertake short business trips for this purpose.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Develop offshore specific policies, standards and guidelines and make sure these are implemented and practiced.
* Develop an offshore specific Safety Management System eventually with the assistance of external service providers.
* Support and coach the offshore staff with the implementation, monitor the performance and effectiveness of the Safety Management System.
* Follow up on the mission, strategy, goals/KPI´s and action plans to assist the onshore fleet management team and the offshore vessel management team.
* Adhere to the company´s HSEQ related activities to achieve the goals set and directed by the AE Group.
* Maintain and report data, review the same and ensure that feedback is sent to fleet ships. Monitor and report on the different types of inspections (flag, class or industry) to identify trends.
* Monitor the closure of non-conformity of audit and other inspections. Conduct (major) incident investigations.
* Monitor Master Reviews process of the SMS and follow up on QHSE & Training selected feedback.
* Plan Internal and External Audits for ships of fleet and liaise with Vessel Managers for planning of audits for ships.
* Follow up on forthcoming changes in rules, regulations and conventions, monitor date of entry into force and possible consequences such changes may have.
* Initiate the Management of Change procedures as and when required.
* Responsible for establishing and managing bridging documents with external service providers, clients etc.
* Company Security Officer.
* Back up for the DPA due to leaves and travels.
* Participating in the Emergency Organization as described in the Safety Management System.
What We Are Looking For
* Education: Bachelor - or Master in Safety Management, Safety Engineering or Nautical Sciences
* Experience: Offshore project experience or experience in offshore marine operations board DP OSVs
* Specific Business Knowledge: Offshore industry requirements
