KickCancer is recruiting… a Kicker-in-Projects!
KickCancer is looking for a mover and shaker, who loves to organise & entertain. A great mindset to project management, team play, and retro-planning are the core qualities for the new colleague we are looking for.
As Project Kicker, you will organise KickCancer’s fundraising events (today: RUN TO KICK, Eclair Day and the KickCancer Collection within Art Brussels).
Your role will entail a major coordination aspect, both internally with the KickCancer’s team and externally with our trusted service providers. Your responsibility will be to maximise the recruitment of participants, ensure that they contribute to the highest possible fundraising, ensure smooth and punctual logistics towards and on D-Day and a remarkable experience for the participants.
Job description
a. Organise a remarkable event
* Create an event that meets its specific objectives (fundraising, PR, recruitment of new donors…).
* Be in constant quest of improvements and novelty to keep the historical participants enthused.
b. Coordinate
* Make use of the best in-house or external expertise to ensure the most efficient organisation of a kicking event.
* Ensure the coordination of the in-house and external experts to avoid frictions or gaps.
c. Main tasks
* Manage each event’s timeline.
* Manage each event’s finances (budget planning and follow-up).
* Define a recruitment and fundraising optimisation strategy.
* Identify all partners that will collaborate for each event.
* Review each event’s communication plan to ensure each event meets its target (website, social media, mailings, brochures…).
* Set up the fundraising platform (RUN TO KICK) or sales follow-up tools (Éclair Day and the KickCancer Collection).
* Oversee the production of the visual equipment necessary for the event and keep a clean record of the existing stock.
* Recruit and brief the team of volunteers.
* Keep a good back office for each event to track participation and payments.
* Debrief post-event and prepare for the next (event and edition!).
Expected qualities
* Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
* 3 to 6 years of professional experience.
* Organisational and diplomatic skills (for effective coordination).
* Strong time management skills, including planning & prioritising.
* Excellent knowledge of Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
* Pro-active, decisive & solution-oriented.
* Languages: Either French as a first language with a good knowledge of Dutch, or Dutch as a first language with a good command of French, along with excellent knowledge of English.
