Position Title: IT Documentation Expert Location: Brussels, Belgium Duration: 6 Months Languages: English Work mode: Onsite EU Candidates Only Job Description: We currently have a vacancy for an IT Documentation Expert fluent in English, to offer his/her services remotely within the European Union. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site. Your tasks: Draft, update, and maintain IT documentation for internal networks, including system architecture, configurations, security policies, and operational procedures; Ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness of documentation to support IT administrators and security personnel; Maintain consistency in formatting and terminology across all documentation; Document IT systems based on Windows and Linux architectures, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards; Provide documentation for both online and standalone systems, some of which may be classified and require adherence to strict security protocols; Ensure documentation follows client security standards and aligns with best practices for classified IT systems; Support audits and security assessments by providing clear and structured documentation; Apply PM (Project Management Methodology) and PILAR (risk assessment and security methodology) as a basis for structuring documentation. Requirements University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in IT; Minimum 5 years of experience in technical writing for IT systems, networks, or cybersecurity; Strong experience in documenting Windows and Linux based IT systems, including security policies and system architecture; Experience with PM project management methodology and PILAR risk assessment framework; Experience with IT security standards, compliance requirements, and risk assessment methodologies; Proficiency in technical documentation tools; Understanding of network security, system administration, and IT governance frameworks; The following certifications are required: PM2 and/or Pilar certification; Prior experience in a public sector, governmental, or EU institution environment would be an advantage; Familiarity with classified or restricted IT environments is a strong asset; Excellent command of the English language is required and knowledge of an additional EU language will be considered an asset.
