The HRBP Internal Communications BNF role is responsible for creating and implementing internal, employee and talent communications content and contributing to programs that actively engage our employee workforce on a firmwide basis. For this, the HRBP Internal Communications function builds and maintains a strong relationship with the business areas and with the different stakeholders to identify the relevant news. He/she will cultivate this relationship continuously and make sure that he/she is aware of what is happening in the business.
Reporting to the HR Director BNF, the HRBP Internal Communications supports our management teams in translating business strategies into key messages, develops appropriate internal communications initiatives in support of those strategies, and executes and drives programs that create excitement, drive engagement, align teams and shape our company culture. As part of the HR Department, the HRBP Internal Communications will also provide support to other HR areas like Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and various HR Employee projects.
The HRBP Internal Communications BNF works closely with the External Communications team to align external and internal communications and to co-create and implement our branding strategy on a consistent basis. Additionally, the regional BNF HRBP Internal Communications function will be part of our company’s European Internal Communications Team to align with the company’s communication strategy, supporting and maintaining content for the employee communication channels and activities.
The ideal candidate for our regional HRPB Internal Communications position has proven ability to build and execute communications plans, demonstrates strong writing skills, and has a natural ability to think strategically while delivering practical results. This role works with management and internal teams to communicate new information and promote the firm’s special strengths and values.
Responsibilities:
1. Helps to create a best-in-class internal communications function across the Nippon Gases BNF Region that fuels employee engagement, influences connectivity and culture, and positively impacts our teams across the BNF region.
2. Develops communication materials using a variety of purposes (written communications, presentation materials, training materials, Teams and other digital platforms, Telcons, employee events, etc.) to articulate key messages.
3. Ensures communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate and integrated with company priorities and programs.
4. Uses internal tools as appropriate to maximize internal communication effectiveness and ensures consistent messaging, branding, imagery and identity.
5. Assists in the planning, coordination and execution of internal employee events as needed and appropriate.
6. Assists in writing and editing impactful and engaging content that effectively describes and promotes Diversity & Inclusion, Compliance, Safety, Sustainability and Human Resources Programs and initiatives in support of our company goals and culture.
7. Works with the European Internal Communications Teams to create and maintain content for employee communication channels such as the quarterly company magazine, employee networks, etc.
8. Supports the implementation of our new BNF Regional Intranet and manages the future content ensuring that it is up-to-date, engaging, and informative.
9. Implements metrics reports to measure effectiveness of internal communication channels and measures internal communications with the goal of continuously improving internal communications strategy to reach and engage employees.
10. Partners with the External Communications Team to develop and maintain the Employer Branding Content Calendar for internal and external social media communications; and provide specialist support to the team in support of their launch of impactful marketing events.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Languages, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
2. Fluent Dutch and English level is a must – fluency in French is highly preferred.
3. 3+ years of relevant communications experience in a business environment; work experience in the Chemical Industry is beneficial.
4. Demonstrated previous experience in writing and editing communications content; experience with digital content is required.
5. Outspoken and willing to network within the organisation.
